SEO Cumbria

About us

A Cumbrian agency, working for Cumbrian businesses

Based on 12 Lowther Street in Carlisle and working across the county since 2016. We do SEO, websites and AI visibility — nothing else.

Why we started

We kept meeting Cumbrian business owners who'd paid a national agency for twelve months and received a thin town page, a monthly PDF nobody read, and no extra phone calls.

The problem wasn't effort. It was distance. An agency three hundred miles away doesn't know that Barrow's economy runs on a submarine programme, that Appleby's search demand triples for a fortnight in June, or that thousands of Eden Valley homes heat with oil rather than gas. That knowledge is the difference between a page that ranks and a page that reads like filler.

How we work

Small team, direct access, fixed scopes. You'll speak to the person doing the work. Reports arrive monthly, take five minutes to read, and lead with the numbers that matter: calls, forms and rankings for the terms you asked for.

We also say no. If paid ads would serve you better this quarter, or if your site needs fixing before any content is worth writing, we'll tell you that first.

What Cumbrian businesses say

"We went from page three to the top of the map pack for roof repairs in Carlisle in about four months. The phone genuinely hasn't stopped since the first autumn storms."

Dan Hetherington

Hetherington Roofing, Carlisle

"Direct bookings are up 38% year on year and our Sykes commission bill is down accordingly. The local walking guides they wrote bring in bookings all by themselves."

Rachel Simpson

Fellside Cottages, Keswick

"They built us pages on farm accounting and holiday-let tax. Those two pages alone have brought in eleven new clients, all exactly the type of work we wanted."

Mark Aitken

Aitken & Co Accountants, Kendal

"Honest, plain-English reporting and no lock-in contract. Implant enquiries have roughly tripled and we finally have a proper answer for NHS list queries."

Dr Priya Nair

Eden Dental Practice, Penrith
